The nautical fair is becoming a regular annual event in Porto Rotondo. The event is popular with pleasure boat owners and tourists. It brings together boat manufacturers, boat accessory manufacturers and providers of maintenance and services for the pleasure boat industry. In the sheltered round marina of Porto Rotundo the Nautical Fair makes quite a spectacle with it’s sleek yachts, fluttering flags, stalls and demonstration equipment around the glittering blue ancient harbour. The event is promoted by boat and accessories manufacturers, marine service providers, the tourist board and local business promotion organisations. It also offers stalls selling unique agricultural and craft products.
Even for those with only a passing interest in boating it is a fascinating and spectacular sight with all the gleaming yachts and boats of different sizes crowding into the marina.
During the period of the fair it is very difficult to find a parking space in Porto Rotundo and so you are advised to park in the free car park on Via Monte Ladu. The car park is on the left as you descend the hill towards the roundabout. It is about a half mile walk from the marina.
